Breathe Lyrics

Alarm clock screaming bare feet hit the floor
It’s off to the races everybody out the door
I’m feeling like I’m falling behind, it’s a crazy life
Ninety miles an hour going fast as I can
Trying to push a little harder trying to get the upper hand
So much to do in so little time, it’s a crazy life
It’s ready, set, go it’s another wild day
When the stress is on the rise in my heart I feel You say just

Breathe, just breathe
Come and rest at My feet
And be, just be
Chaos calls but all you really need
Is to just breathe

Third cup of joe just to get me through the day
Wanna make the most of time but I feel it slip away
I wonder if there’s something more to this crazy life
I’m busy, busy, busy, and it’s no surprise to see
That I only have time for me, me, me
There’s gotta be something more to this crazy life
I’m hanging on tight to another wild day
When it starts to fall apart in my heart I hear You say just

Breathe, just breathe
Come and rest at My feet
And be, just be
Chaos calls but all you really need

Is to take it in fill your lungs
The Peace of God that overcomes
Just breathe
Let your weary spirit rest
Lay down what’s good and find what’s best
Just breathe

Just breathe, just breathe
Come and rest at My feet
And be, just be
Chaos calls but all you really need
Is to just breathe
Just breathe

  • Veteran says:

These two songs came on tonight just for me! In my heart I do hear him say breathe. Since I’ve been home from war – I’m 90 miles per hour, and I’m finding more and more God is telling me to come to his feet for healing. Let go the baggage, let down the guard and rest at HIS feet, working for His Kingdom and purpose. Chaos calls me daily – and I like chaos, mainly as a coping mechanism. It detracts me from what I experienced and I’m looking for the peace of God to overcome my heart. Please pray for my healing if your reading this. Thank you.

This song spoke to me after I left my pain rehabilitation program yesterday. They base all our rehab on breathing and slowing down. Watching your yellow lights. This is what I needed to reset everything going on over the past month. Daughter back to school. Me starting the program. And the first anniversary of my mom’s passing of pancreatic cancer. Stop and breathe…rest at His feet. Thank you

  • Sue dubois says:

I’ve heard this song many times but one time I heard it, it just spoke to me…amidst all the chaos in my life right now…like it was meant for me to be captured by this song at this particular time and now when I hear it …it’s a reminder that God has got this …he’s in control of everything and it will all be alright…I’m so thankful that God is always there for me…

  • Brenda says:

I heard this song on the radio one day; it was one of those “really bad days”, not long after my sweet husband passed away. A friend told me shortly after his death that on the days I had a hard time just catching my breath, she says “that’s when you allow God to breathe for you”. Truer words have never been told to me. Then, I hear this song — such a feeling of peace came over me; reminding me to “JUST BREATHE” rest at HIS feet. I love this song!
