We are a blended family, with five boys and one girl. My daughter and her stepdad used to love each other and get along so well, but once she turned 7 or 8, their relationship has become so rough. She has such an independent little soul and my husband can be quite overbearing towards her, as she does not “fall in line” like her brothers. She is ten now and things between them are so rough, there’s hardly a sunny day between them anymore. Please pray that she honors her step dad and that my husband follows God’s lead in how to be a godly father. I pray God will soften my husband’s heart towards her and she lessens her balking towards her step dad.
