As kids in southern Wisconsin get ready for another school year, young children in Honduras are working up to 10 hours a day – making well less than $5 a day. Madison native Maddic Trncic of Just One International talks about how her organization is using education to overcome poverty and raise up strong Christian leaders in that country.

Many families living in villages in Honduras simply cannot afford to send their kids to school. So, many children work in the fields, sometimes for 10 hours a day, making only two dollars a day. Enter the faith-based group, Just One International. They work with schools in those villages to give more kids a proper education. It’s run by a woman named Maddie, who’s originally from the Madison area. Here she is talking about one of their big success stories.
