“That’s how people really are…”

    My dad told me one time that I shouldn’t be so trusting. I remember sitting and thinking a bit about that. I finally looked at him and said, “I think that overall people want to be decent. I’d rather spend my life trusting people, and get hurt sometimes, than being so guarded that I miss out on all the warm fuzzies you can get.” This story totally reminded me of that moment.
