Hello! Matt here from Saturday nights on Life 102.5. I’m so glad you’re here to make a homemade face mask with me.

First off, I want to point you to the CDC’s “Cloth Face Covers FAQs.” Hopefully this will answer any questions you might have on the effectiveness of these homemade masks and how/when to use them!

Perfect! Now, I mention this in the video, but this is my first time making a “how-to” video. Please don’t hesitate to ask any questions in the comments down below, I’d be happy to answer them for you. These instructions were provided by Froedtert & Medical College of Wisconsin – I honestly just followed along with their PDF document for you visual learners.

Maybe you don’t have a bunch of 100% cotton fabric at home. Fortunately, many fabric suppliers are making web pages exclusively for mask-making fabric and supplies! My two favorite places to go for fabric are JoAnn’s and Mood Fabrics!

Thanks again for making a mask with me – I look forward to answering your questions and seeing your masks!

– Matt

I was able to follow the idea of your mask, quite well
One thing you might want to mention is that the pattern you are following is quite large
I had the mask made to the point of sewing one of the pleated sides and realized it was going to be way to big for me
I was able to take it apart and resize the pleats so it fits me, so all turned out well
I am 5’2″ and 97lbs so I am on the smaller size
Thanks for the video, love my new mask
