Risks and realities of human trafficking
Co-sponsors FPC and Faith Response Committee of SlaveFree Madison invite clergy, lay advisors, youth, and any interested citizen, to learn about the risks and realities of human trafficking—not only in some distant elsewhere, but right here in Wisconsin—on Sunday, November 19, 2:00-4:00 pm, at the Village Center of Waunakee.

The program will include two brief, yet engaging and educational films: Chosen and Make Room for Youth. Chosen was produced by Shared Hope International featuring the stories of two ‘All-American’ teenage girls tricked into trafficking. The locally produced film Make Room For Youth received the 2013 Best Targeted Campaign Award from the National Association for the Education of Homeless Children and Youth (NAEHCY). The November 19 program features two local experts: JoAnn Gruber-Hagen of SlaveFree Madison and Tyler Schueffner of Briarpatch. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and to discuss the issues raised.
